The client's I have often found myself working with are children, teenagers, and young adults struggling with a variety of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behavioral issues, life transitions, and peer and familial relationships. The goals I set in sessions with clients are to gain more insight regarding our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, identify ways to cope and process through life's challenges, and use our ability to be insightful as a way to make any necessary, positive changes.
I have worked in both individual and group settings and utilize a variety of techniques and theories in session to ensure the best fit for clients such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, and Emotionally Focused therapy. I take on a collaborative approach where I am able to work together with my clients to achieve change.
I see counseling as something that can be beneficial for anyone looking for additional support in their life. My goal as a counselor is to provide a warm comfortable, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space that allows an opportunity to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and identify areas of change to work on living a more hopeful and positive life.
