My style is a relaxed conversation. My experience began in the late 80's as a street social work, helping women find resources (case Mgmt.) and as once degreed, I began working within mother/baby shelters, over 30 years, In school - assistance with Adolescents, In Hospital, specialize with placement as Doctors recommendations for Level of care (acute med surg) inpatient, Crisis; First Responders, Law enforcement. Populations that I have worked with include areas of trauma, grief, depression, self injurious behaviors, suicide Ideation, bullying, substance abuse, self esteem and includes Life Matters from Birth to death.
I utilize elements of psycho-education, trauma focused CBT, mindfulness, cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, solution focused, and the most importantly; processing with my patient to develop the right treatment plan throughout a collaborative process.
