About
Are you overwhelmed by your thoughts and emotions? Do they lead to behaviors that aren't serving you or are preventing you from living the best life possible? I have over 20 years of experience providing treatment to clients with a myriad of emotional, behavioral and/or cognitive issues. I specialize in assisting to gain emotional and cognitive control by finding the triggers that lead to reactive behaviors and helping to assess which coping skills to apply to avoid undesired reactions. You are the expert on yourself. So lets work together to understand what your strengths are and how to build skills to attain your goals.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Foundationally Trained by The Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech. (12/8/14-12/12/14). DBT adapts CBT to assist patients to deal with stress. This approach combines acceptance and change through the principle of dialectics. I have found my training invaluable in assisting clients to achieve personal harmony.
We all have the need to be listened to, understood, and acknowledged. Not feeling like we are is so often the cause of emotional distress. I believe there is nothing more important than understanding and validating emotions in relationships. That is what I endeavor to do and will help you work toward achieving.
