Life is both beautiful and hard, and our relationships (past and present) shape how we experience and navigate its many challenges, for better and for worse. Therapy offers a unique relationship, the central purpose of which is to support your growth and help you form more secure and satisfying connections – to yourself and to others.
My approach to therapy is integrative (drawing from the collective wisdom of many fine minds, as well as my own life experience) and collaborative:
I won't solve your problems or cure what ails you; rather I will meet you with warmth, acceptance, curiosity and a commitment to use what gifts I have for your benefit. I'll invite you to be curious and brave with me as we explore and experiment together with new ways of seeing, thinking, and relating.
I bring to this work a background in social science, social work, and clinical training in individual, couple, and family therapy, as well as EMDR and IFS. I enjoy working with individuals and couples of all stripes, with particular clinical interests in self-exploration and development, life transitions, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, and trauma.
