When I reflect on what being a therapist means to me, the words that come to me are hope, healing, connection, and wholeness. The entire reason that I am a therapist is to help my clients discover that these do not represent mere words, but signify real experiences. I desire that each person I encounter in my work to experience all that life has to offer. However, I recognize that living in this world is not easy, and there is suffering, loss, trauma, disconnection. These experiences, though incredibly difficult, can also be the impetus and foundation of profound and transformative healing.

There is no one-size fits all approach to therapy, as each of us is a unique individual. I approach each of my clients with genuine respect and interest. I have completed the Somatic Experiencing training, a trauma healing modality that integrates the experiences of the body into therapy, thus achieving a more holistic approach to therapy.

With regard to the mind, I believe that making sense of one’s experiences is integral in understanding the past, embracing the present, and planning for the future. Mind and body work together to create a clarity of understanding. Being seen and heard in this process is incredibly powerful, and is my privilege to accompany each of my clients on this journey.
