MindQuest Groups
Groups for high potential children and teens to develop executive functioning skills and self-regulation. The groups are activity and game-based to increase motivation and memory of the concepts to practice in daily life. Groups are provided for grades K-8. Groups are divided into Beginning (Stepping Up to Challenges, part 1), Intermediate (Game On!, part 2) and Advanced (MasterMind, part 3). Parents are involved extensively in part 2 and part 3 groups.
Halcyon
Groups for high potential and highly sensitive children and teens to support stress reduction and management of anxiety. Mindfulness based strategies and Growth Mindset self-talk development are included in this group that includes practice, discussion and activities to empower children and teens to have tools to manage their own stress and bring more calmness into their lives.
DeCypher
This is a specialized intermediate level group for high potential children and teens for the development of group project completion and negotiation skills. Students are often assigned group work in school and it takes specific social , communication and sometimes conflict resolution skills to successfully participate in group work. And, if often takes emotional coping skills to manage individual feelings about group dynamics. This group provides coaching and practice in these skills as the participants complete the group project of designing and making a game.
