About
Life is complex. We go through iterations of ourselves; it's a healthy part of being human. My job is not to judge you but to make space for your next iteration. In our lifetimes we get to be messy and beautiful; kind and mean; complicated and simple. We get to change. That doesn't mean it's easy. I'm a straight shooter who will tell it like I see it and challenge you compassionately when necessary. You're not "too much" for me. I see your challenges as coping skills that are no longer working rather than deficiencies. I'm client focused and I allow you to set the pace, flow, and tone. I meet you where you are.
I have an MA in Secondary Ed and have worked with teens for 13 years. I practice holistic counseling with an expertise in somatic psychology, which helps us reconnect to the body's innate wisdom. If we can track and train our nervous system we can sit with the discomfort of change. I use principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore the Self.
I work with women's issues such as (in)fertility/IVF as well as general anger, grief, anxiety, shame, depression, and unraveling unhelpful social expectations. I can't guarantee that counseling will immediately help, but I can guarantee that it is the gateway to change — to the new iteration of yourself. Contact me for a 30-minute free phone consultation.
