I love being a psychologist! Sometimes the job is really stressful, but seeing my patients make gains is so rewarding. I work really well with teens and young adults so if you've got a surly teenager on your hands and you feel as if they're speaking a whole different language then I would love to work with your family. Additionally, I have special training in working with all forms of trauma (everything from sexual assaults to car accidents to complex physical abuse). Honestly, I enjoy working with an array of presenting problems and ages; each person presents with a unique personal history that brings newness to each work day.
One of my gifts is being direct with people. If you are looking for true change and want to be challenged to maximize your growth, then I'm the right person for you. I am also certified in TF-CBT which is an evidence based therapy similar to EMDR, but I prefer TF-CBT since it can be used on children as young as 3 or 4 yrs old.
I strongly believe in the adage "Right time right place right therapist." If you are looking at this page then you've already taken a courageous first step.
