About
I help those who feel that life has become a struggle, when transitions in relationships, academic life, or career may bring inhibiting anxiety or an overwhelming depression. I share observations and insights with the intention of helping clients as quickly as possible. My work as a therapist is informed by my own life passages as a wife, mother, widow, single parent, empty nester, and older graduate student. As someone who has embarked on a new career in later life, I understand both the fear and the rewards in managing life-enhancing changes.
Understanding who you are and how you got here is crucial to a freer, more comfortable life. Therapy uncovers the repetitious conflicts and old beliefs that keep us stuck and resistant. This healing insight into our life experiences releases us from the past and energizes our future.
"We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversations with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk." Thomas Moore
