Psychotherapy is a collaboration between therapist and client. It makes use of the strengths, resources, hopes, and intentionality of the client and the supportive attunement, non-judgmental perspective, training, insight, and experience of the therapist. Individual clients come to me for a variety of reasons including my multi-cultural background, my personal and professional interest in spirituality of all varieties, and a lifelong meditation practice. Couples come to me for help with cultivating skills that make partnership emotionally safer, more collaborative, and more satisfying, and reducing obstacles and harmful patterns.
My approach draws on my training and experience in psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and yoga therapy. I am certified and experienced in all three modalities. My style is open-minded, warm and direct. I appreciate the full spectrum of human diversity.
I offer individual and couples therapy for adults. I work with you to help you achieve balance, meaning, and purpose in your life, to improve your relationships, and to facilitate healing and growth in areas that are important to you.
