My Name is Anna Budden, I am a LPC and have earned the NBCC. I enjoy spending time with my dog, cats and chickens. My kids are adults, but I try to spend as much time with them as possible. My approach is that I set clear goals for myself and my clients and treat every session as an opportunity to make progress. I approach therapy with an eclectic style and use different therapy styles to individualize our work together to meet your needs best. I use conflict resolution, Cognitive therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy and EMDR. I often incorporate Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused therapy into our sessions.
Our sessions also depend on what your needs are and what you are comfortable with. I have 15 years of experience in DBT and CBT. Working with couples struggling with trust, financial and communication issues is one of my strengths. Also working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, low self-esteem is typically who I work with.
I use both verbal and nonverbal communication styles. I pay attention to what you are saying what how your facial expressions and body language are projecting. My goal for our communication style is to help you express your thoughts, share information and connect with people in your life. I am soft spoken and gentle in my therapy style.
