Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my website; finding a therapist who is a good match for you is important. For this reason, I'd like to explain a bit about my approach and how I treat a variety of presenting issues. I approach therapy from a client-directed, strengths-based perspective. This means that I view your current situation with curiosity and compassion, from a non-judgmental position. I'll listen to your story and help you remove the barriers to change that exist in your situation. Whenever possible, I use empirically validated models of therapy.
When working with couples, I explore relationship dynamics which may be preventing them from experiencing the closeness they desire. Re-visiting painful moments within a relationship, while difficult, can bring about healing and restoration. I'll help you learn how to approach your partner in a way that resolves past hurts and increases emotional attachment.
