I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in Manhattan. I meet with adult and adolescent patients for treatment of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and addictions. As a multilingual psychologist, I frequently meet with patients of international origin and feel comfortable bridging cultural gaps. I meet with patients in person in my Madison Square Park office, as well as remotely, both from NYC and Italy.
My approach to psychotherapy is insight oriented from a relational psychodynamic perspective with behavioral tools as needed. I am an active participant in the psychotherapeutic process and believe that collaboration in therapy will bring about emotional transformation and change. I encourage mindfulness practices and meditation.
I worked as a psychologist at Bellevue Hospital, held a faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center, and met with patients part-time in private practice for 15 years before switching to full-time private practice in 2019. I am fluent in English, German and Swedish (native), and have some proficiency in Italian.
