I approach counseling from a collaborative, goal-oriented perspective using a strength-based mindset. I believe it’s important to emphasize an individual’s strengths rather than issues because it can create a more creative, authentic, and empowering experience. I believe that therapy is not a one-size fits all and that it can be a learning process. By using a collaborative approach, we can work together as a team.
My goal in therapy is to treat my clients as the experts of their own lives, no matter their age. By working together, we can figure out ways to incorporate their strengths both in and out of sessions. As your or your child’s therapist, I hope to create a warm, welcoming, and accepting environment.
I primarily work with children, adolescents, and young adults. My experience includes a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, and life transitions. Taking this first step is not always easy. Therefore, I hope I can support you or your child in making this transition as easy as possible.
