I have been working as a Clinical Social worker for over 26 years. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, family and couples coping with symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. I assist families and couples on building healthy communication to repair broken relationships. My goal is help you gain the tools needed to heal and foster emotional stability and learn to manage life stressors. Taking the first step towards change, takes a lot of courage but you will be guided with support throughout the process.
My approach is client focused. We will work together in identifying possible triggers of distress and/or stressors, explore past and current trauma as well as identify root causes, develop appropriate coping strategies and explore possible solutions to aid in promoting an improved symptom management.
With the use of motivational interviewing as well as strength base counseling, we will work towards treatment goals needed to achieve overall healing. I foster a safe and accepting environment.
