I am a psychotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed and liberatory framework, which means I center the ways personal suffering is shaped not only by internal experience, but by systems of power, oppression, and historical harm. I am particularly attuned to working with people whose identities and lived experiences have been impacted by systemic violence, marginalization, or environments where their full selves were not recognized or supported.
My approach integrates narrative therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational Therapy, and substance abuse/12 step recovery models. I believe all of these interventions offer a unique opportunity for the client to safely and supportively unpack their past experiences and present stressors.
In my practice we will work in partnership to address all conscious and unconscious challenges faced by the individual. I use an anti-oppressive framework to ensure and honor the centering of the client which reinforces that the you are truly the self author of your own life and ability to change and heal.
