My experience includes working with adolescents and adults struggling with mood disorders, substance abuse and working with family members affected by the addiction of their loved ones. I work closely with family members to provide education and help promote growth. My practice has included collaboration with multiple systems and providers such as school systems, psychiatrists/medical providers, court and probation.
I use an individualized client-centered approach utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help promote change and self-awareness. I strongly believe the most important instrument to the therapy process is the therapeutic relationship.
I have also done extensive work with adolescents as a coordinator of adolescent programming. This included work in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs. This experience focused on crisis stabilization, family therapy/education and substance abuse/co-occurring issues.
