Hello, my name is Anna G. Gomez and I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 from the University of Texas-Pan American and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling in 2018 from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. My counseling services address concerns including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, substance use disorders, and anger management. I am bilingual and able to provide services in both English and Spanish.
My experience ranges from individual, family, and group therapy and I possess the experience necessary to work with children, adolescents, and adults with varying physical and cognitive disabilities, however, the bulk of my client population centers around adolescents and adults.
Treatment in my opinion is not “one size fits all”; proper treatment is personalized to suit each individual client’s needs. My communication style encourages clients to go through the course of treatment at their own pace, in a manner that promotes rapport building and mutual trust.
