Deciding to try therapy can be a deeply personal decision. I want to hear your story, not just your symptoms. I have advanced training in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), trauma, persistent suicidal thoughts, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, anger, anxiety, and teen challenges. I provide a space where neurodivergence can thrive without the pressures of neurotypical expectations. I know how to turn the volume up on your strengths which gives you the momentum you need to build skills for your ideal life.
I use an integration of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Reality Therapy to help clients untangle themselves from negative/fearful self-talk and make choices that align with their wants and needs. I also teach emotional regulation skills that are informed by Polyvagal Theory.
Regulating the nervous system allows our higher level thinking to "come back online". When “online”, exploring negative/fearful self-talk, practicing truthful self-talk, role-playing communication skills, and much more feel natural in the therapy room.
