About
I understand that reaching out to schedule the initial therapy session can be intimidating. For this reason, my priority in session is to provide a safe and confidential therapeutic space for my clients in which they can share their challenges and feel heard and understood. My counseling experience includes assisting individuals with life transitions, anxiety, communication skills, depression, stress management, relationship difficulties, and addictive behaviors. I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, hospice care, mental health agencies, schools, and out-patient substance abuse treatment settings.
I am passionate about developing a unique and creative therapeutic approach for each individual. My therapeutic style incorporates cognitive behavioral, expressive arts and solution-focused techniques when working with my clients to meet their goals.
I have experience employing the expressive arts technique, which assists individuals confront challenges through the healing process of creating. Through this approach, individuals can build self-confidence and increase self-awareness, thus enhancing their potential to reach personal goals in therapy and make desired positive change in their lives.
