My work is informed by a belief that human beings have a fundamental desire to live in ways that feel authentic and meaningful. Relational challenges, illnesses, traumatic experiences, addictive patterns, and oppression can block us from accessing the inner strength and resilience that enable us to move towards fulfilling lives. Together, we will work to identify areas of struggle and to create more flexible ways of relating to your experience, thereby enabling you to make new choices that are more closely aligned with your inner hopes and personal goals.
My practice is based in a profound respect for client autonomy and a belief in equity of rights for all people. With compassion as my driving force, I strive to build a collaborative and egalitarian therapeutic relationship. I have a special interest in working with clients experiencing chronic pain, chronic illness, addictive behaviors, grief and loss.
I am an AEDP Level 3 therapist, I am trained in EMDR, and I am strongly guided by techniques from Somatic Therapy and Mindfulness. My therapeutic work has focused on those suffering from acute, complex, and developmental traumas. I offer therapy in person in E. Montpelier, VT and online across Vermont and New York.
