Hello! My name is Ann Dennis. I have a master's degree in counseling from Tarleton State University with a certification as a License Professional Counselor. I have worked in public education for Thirty Years with Thirteen of those years being a School Counselor. I am taking the transformation from public education sector into private practice attribute because I know there is such a high need for Mental Health services for all children. In therapy, I utilize the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) concepts and I am in the process of learning how to transform into "The Solution Focused Brief Therapy" approach. I have always pride myself in being an individual that listens to clients and through the therapeutic process I believe this helps the client contribute to solutions for healing.
Some of my main goals for my clients includes reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, improving overall well-being, and promoting personal growth and resilience. Giving tools that the client can continue to use over their lifetime in order to help them work through crises when the need arises is an area that I am hoping to provide for each individual.
