Hi there! My name is Ann Kent, LMFT. I work with all ages (7 and up), but love middle & high school aged kiddos and young adults dealing with anxiety, life transitions or grief. I want clients to be able to learn about themselves, heal from anything in their past or present, and grow into whomever they want to be in the future. I now have two therapy rooms at my office location, one for play therapy and one for talk therapy. Clients have the option to choose which room that want to use for each session - I am a firm believer that sometimes you just need to lounge in a bean bag over a couch. You get to decide!
I was previously with Emerge FTC in Spartanburg, SC prior to starting my own practice. I love integrating basic talk therapy in with play, art, and experiential techniques to provide a safe place for you or your child to learn about their life and emotions and grow into whoever you or they would like to be.
I do my best to meet my clients where they are at; meaning I come in with a lot of empathy and compassion in all my sessions (first, middle or last) to build rapport with them. I want my clients to know and trust their therapy is their safe place to come and work through life together. So, reach out and let's start healing!
