My name is Ann Genetta, Psy.D., and I’ve been a licensed psychologist for over 20 years. At times, troubling emotions, or certain thoughts or behavior patterns interfere with lives or relationships. As an experienced psychologist, I can help you understand and change unwanted emotions or unproductive patterns and improve your feelings of well-being. My treatment is guided by the unique needs of each client. My psychotherapy technique includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness, along with an understanding and treatment of underlying psychodynamic aspects that may affect a client’s well-being.
I work with all adults on an individual basis in psychotherapy. I treat a variety of issues, in particular, depression, anxiety, chronic stress, life transitions, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar illness, interpersonal relationships, women’s issues, sleep disorders, and emotional issues stemming from medical conditions.
Helping others live a more positive, psychologically resilient, and productive life, is beyond rewarding. After my B.A. at Rutgers University, I worked 5 years as a Psychiatric Tech. at Jefferson Hospital. I earned my Master’s and Doctor of Psychology from the Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University, to become a psychologist.
