The pandemic has been extremely hard on those with mental health issues and has also highlighted these issues for those who have been avoiding them. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach. I ensure that my clients feel comfortable, safe, and heard. I treat clients with past trauma histories with patience and understanding. Due to lived experience, I have an easier time understanding the heaviness that my clients feel.
