Hi! I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I received my PsyD from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I've been practicing for almost 30 years and I always have, and still do, love this work. I feel I can be most helpful with the following mental health challenges: healing from childhood trauma(s), LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, sexual assault, identity issues, and grief.
I have also been a therapist for many other therapists. Helping others in the profession is a passion of mine.
I strive to create a sense of safety and trust so clients can share openly. I am an active participant in sessions but will prioritize your needs and pace. I consider myself a humanistic therapist and utilize many approaches from DBT. My hope is for you to find your strengths, develop a practice of skillful living, and feel relief from your suffering.
Our first session will be a chance for us to meet and start to develop our bond. It would be helpful if you could share why you are seeking therapy and if there is something you hope will happen as a result. I will likely want to know a bit about your life experiences.
