Hello. My name is Anjanette Dennis. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 27 years of experience working in mental and behavioral health. I am a skill-based therapist that uses solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy to assist with challenges surrounding anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and sadness brought on by work, school, life, familial, or relational obstacles. I have years of experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I strive to help improve self-esteem, self-care, communication, coping skills, feelings identification and feelings management, problem solving, conflict resolution.
I attempt to foster an environment that is relaxed, soft, warm, respectful, kind, and understanding. I stumbled on this career at age 19 when I obtained a job a residential treatment center for foster youth and fell in love with the potential and possibility for healing from pain and challenges.
I periodically ask clients what their strengths and obstacles are so collaboratively, we can assess areas of need, and goal areas for desired improvement.
