I help people navigate life transitions and the emotional challenges that come with them. In our work together, I draw from several approaches depending on your needs. As a certified psychoanalyst, I can help you explore and understand deeper patterns in your emotions and relationships. I also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to teach practical skills.
For clients healing from trauma, I offer EMDR and Somatic Experiencing (SE), which can help ease the weight of painful experiences and restore a sense of calm and safety. My goal is to give you strategies you can use right away to feel more grounded, improve your relationships, and create a life that feels more satisfying.
Earlier in my career, I worked at Columbia University Medical Center’s Day Treatment Program, where I ran both psychodynamic and skills-based groups. Now in private practice, I run weekly DBT skills groups and a men’s group where clients can connect and practice these tools in a supportive space. I work with clients in both English and German.

Groups
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) will help you manage overwhelming negative emotions by teaching you skills such as Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance. We focus on managing negative thoughts, impulsive behaviors, mood swings and unstable relationships. Group members learn to practice mindfulness and meditation exercises such as breathing, muscle relaxation, imagery and other helpful skills they can use at home. The majority of group is spent on skills training. I also assign homework, which enables participants to practice these skills on their own and discuss their effectiveness during group.
