Hi, I'm Dr. Anita Pool! Are you or your child struggling due to a transition, loss, or other life event? Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or in need of support? If so, I would love to help! Whether working with children or adults, I practice from a person-centered approach which relies heavily on the relationship between the client and counselor. As such, I see the counseling relationship as a critical element for change and work to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for my clients. I view counseling through a trauma-informed lens since many individuals have been affected by trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
My primary areas of focus include women and young children. I especially enjoy counseling women who are dealing with women’s-related issues and grief. I have worked for over 18 years helping young children ages three through 10 experiencing behavioral, social, and emotional difficulties, as well as family-related challenges, grief, and anxiety.
I am non-judgemental, laidback, and warm, and believe in the power of relationships to grow and heal. I enjoy providing a safe space for my clients to explore their feelings, work through issues, and gain the tools they need to feel better and be successful.
