About
You can change. I believe this because in my twenty years as a therapist, I've been inspired by the work of my clients to overcome grief, trauma and abuse. My years as a therapist have taught me that we are all resilient, we all have strengths and coping skills. My years as a therapist have also taught me that when we go through a crisis, or a series of crises, our coping skills can get overwhelmed.
When this happens, we can feel depressed, anxious, angry or even ashamed that we can't handle "it" whatever "it" is on our own. It may seem counterintuitive, but I believe that these times can be an opportunity for growth and healing.
My style of therapy is positive, collaborative and eclectic (meaning I pull from a variety of traditions, not just one) with a dash of humor. I want to create a space where you can discover healthier coping strategies and hidden strengths and most importantly hope.
