About
Have you experienced the loss of a loved one and need to talk to someone who understands grief? I am Certified in Thanatology: Death, Dying, and Bereavement through the Association for Death Education and Counseling, and specialize in grieving, bereavement, and the dying process. I have experience with bereaved parents and spouses, as well as survivors of suicide and homicide. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Therapy, and have helped many individuals overcome PTSD and other types of psychological trauma. I have specialized training and experience with issues related to aging, chronic and terminal illness, and end of life issues.
I do not believe any one therapist can be all things to all people. Therefore I have focused my practice, education, and research on issues about which I am passionate which include grief/bereavement, aging, end of life, adjusting to long-term/terminal illness, psychological and emotional trauma, and other similarly related problems and concerns.
Through my own personal experience, I know how hard it can be to reach out for therapy following a personal tragedy. And if that first session does not bring some relief, it is often even more difficult to go back. Your journey is unique and personal, and I will be honored to hear your story and help you work through your own process without any judgment.
