The areas in which I focus are directed towards Adolescent Anger Management from the systemic perspective, Parenting and Financial Counseling.
Forming an alliance with a therapist helps individuals address some of the most challenging situations that life has to offer. I am trained to assess situations and problems from the family perspective which enables lasting change to occur. Life has presented me with many experiences that allow me to encourage clients to explore alternate solutions from the experiential perspective.

Would you like to feel calmer in your day to day life? Is anger, anxiety, depression, alcohol, or drug use interfering with you having the life you really want? Would you like to learn how to feel calmer and happier? Therapy can often be thought of as a long process involving diving into childhood issues and events. Contrary to this popular notion, I like to take a practical and straightforward approach and focus on your current concerns. I specialize in helping people who are struggling with anger, anxiety, addictions, and depression.

I'm certified in Anger Management and am a Complex Trauma Treatment Professional and also certified in Trauma-Focused CBT and CBT-I.
Attentive help. Because you matter. Do you wish your problems would just go away - that life would get better? Do you feel lost or trapped? Are you angry or just tired of the status quo? Have loved ones behaved badly giving you problems, confusion, or chaos? Maybe you have a few behavioral regrets. You may feel conflicted from within or beset from without, but frustration and turmoil do not have to dominate your life. It can seem overwhelming to talk about your problems to risk ending up feeling unheard and ultimately without much support - or judged. I get all of this. I hear you.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger management, child and adolescent behavioral issues, addiction, parenting strategies, or trauma, I am here.
Therapy can fit your life! Tele health therapy allows you to enter the therapeutic process from the comfort of your home. It's no secret that life can be difficult but life can be especially difficult when done alone. When uncertain times come we often find ourselves in need of help to navigate the situations that have mentally, emotionally and physically depleted our lives. I strive to meet clients where they are, while working to ensure that they don’t stay there.

I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, PTSD, depression, anger issues, and any issues children deal with.
"Caring for the mind is as important and as crucial as caring for the body. In fact, one cannot be healthy without the other"-Sid Garza-hillman. I truly believe this quote is the most accurate statement. Mental health is just as important as physical health. I have a true passion for helping others. I enjoy being able to see that moment when things come together and start to improve for each of my clients.

Anger Management Therapists

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
