With 30 years of extensive experience working with individuals, couples and families my focus is on the resolution of problems (hence the name RESOLUTION COUNSELING). The goal is to improve relationships and facilitate positive change. I am certified in chemical dependency and related issues and treat many other disorders. Direct in my approach, I offer insights providing options for making changes. Breaking free of old, conditioned patterns is critical to finding fulfillment and happiness. The basis for being compulsively addicted to a substance, person or activity is an effort to escape from painful feelings. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is effective, helping with distorted thinking/self-esteem issues, which drive dysfunctional behaviors and interactions.
I believe that with guidance and education most individuals have the desire and the resilience to make positive changes for themselves. I honor "self-determination" in the process.
