For the last 28 years I have been providing a non-judgmental arena to work on a variety of issues to include but not limited to addiction, anger, gambling, co-occurring disorders, behavioral concerns, depression and anxiety.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I was born and raised in New Jersey and lived in Pennsylvania for many years. I moved to Virginia in 2013 and now call Lynchburg home. My hobbies include hiking, kayaking, singing, dancing, painting and spending time with family and friends. I have had the amazing opportunity to serve children, adolescents and families for over twenty years in a variety of mental health settings including residential treatment, boot camp, community, outpatient and group settings. I’m an expert witness for the Juvenile and Family court system of VA. I utilize an honest, direct, client-centered approach.

I have a heart to serve individuals going through difficult times in their lives. I work with clients facing depression, anxiety, anger, post-traumatic stress, and adjustment disorders. Individuals and families find encouragement and support while facing grief and loss, separation and divorce, abuse, and other stressful or traumatic events. They find healing from past pain and hope for a better future through the therapeutic process.

I am a compassionate and supportive licensed clinical social worker, who specializes in working with children, teenagers, and young adults through a trauma informed lens. With years of experience in the field, I aim to help people navigate a variety of issues, including: trauma, anger, anxiety, attachment concerns, depression, behavioral difficulties, and family/relationship conflicts.

I believe in multiple therapeutic approaches, understanding each person is an individual. I have a particular interest in working with children and fathers. I am a genuine lover and believer in humanity and feel this is felt by my clients. I use humor and non-traditional forms of therapy to build rapport and help each client feel they can overcome whatever barriers, struggles, or hardships life faces them with. If talk therapy hasn't worked for you before, we will work together to figure out what is best, using creative forms (art, music, poetry) or perhaps going for a walk while talking.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor, practicing as a therapist, trainer, and consultant in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs. I offer individual therapy, couples counseling and family counseling for children, adolescents and adults. I have a broad and unique base of clinical experience and education. I have a particular passion and expertise in working with children, adolescents, individuals and families struggling with relationships difficulties. I have significant experience and advanced clinical training treating varying degrees of psychological trauma.

I am currently accepting clients both through telehealth and in person! My passion has been to help my clients manage their mental health and ability to grow from within. The clients I support are people who struggle with mental health issues, addictions, family, couples' concerns. I've helped clients successfully navigate through abuse and trauma, life transitions and grief and loss. I specialize in human sexuality: sex education, sexual dysfunction, sexual health, sexual pleasure, navigating sex after health crisis, women's issues, postpartum, miscarriage, LGBTQ populations, sexual trauma and sex addiction.

I am currently earning my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Shippensburg University, and then spent the better part of the decade following graduation, serving my country in the United States Army. My ambition is to work with veterans, first responders, civil servants, and their families, however, my passion is to assist any and all families during the multitude of life transitions that spark turmoil, anxiety, depression, or difficult challenges for the family system.

I began my career as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) later in life, and I have great passion for the work I do with my clients. I have 10+ years of experience as a therapist for children/teens, adults, and families. I have worked in out-patient, school-based, in-home, and community settings. With younger children and parents, I often employ the principles of Parent-Child Interactive Therapy, focusing on child-directed and parent-directed play. For family therapy, I use a relational approach that is based on positive communication, mutual respect, and active listening skills. I enjoy collaborating with clients on goals.
