Hello! My name is Kathleen Walker, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. In my thirties, I decided to change careers and began my work in the Mental Health field. During the last ten years of education and practice, my love for this work has grown exponentially. I have a deep respect for people who are attempting to work towards bettering their lives, no matter where they are in that process. I earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Immaculata University. I have worked in outpatient settings utilizing individual and group therapy, as well as couples and family therapy. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with interpersonal and self-esteem issues, substance use and co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. You know that, “whatever this is…isn’t working for me!”, to quote one of my favorite comedies. Sometimes that is all you know. You know that you need and want to change the things that are no longer working for you but have no idea where to begin or who to trust with your story.
