My name is Hannah and I am a counselor in Ohio. My personal experience of mental illness in my family led me to the field. I graduated with a BS in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2018 and completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023 from Capella University.

My specialties are working with individuals, families, couples, and groups in the areas of mental health and addiction (alcohol & drug, sexual, gambling, internet, etc.,) trauma, abuse, PTSD, legal issues, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, domestic violence and behavioral management. At Co-Pilot Counseling, we believe healing is possible from: depression, anger, anxiety, grief, abuse/trauma, adoption/attachment issues, and all types of addiction. Nicki Sherman founded Co-Pilot in 2003 and today we are a group of experienced counselors who are in-network with most commercial insurances, Ohio medicaid, and EAP companies. We schedule your first appointment asap, offer evening sessions, and file insurance claims for you. As clinical supervisor, Nicki ensures that all counselors provide quality care close to home.

I currently offer individual therapy to address mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders and other issues related to behavioral health, stress, and grief. I am experienced in both individual and group crisis counseling and offer relationship, and family therapy. I am working on offering several therapeutic groups including a support/educational group for parents of behaviorally challenged children, a sexual assault group and a homicide support group for surviving family members. In home counseling for agoraphobic situations are available.

I am passionate about supporting clients to achieve personal mental and emotional growth while overcoming obstacles such as trauma, LGBTQ+ identity or cultural issues, mood or anxiety disorders, complex grief, anger, difficulty with effective communication, and co-occurring dependency. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for adults to learn to overcome barriers to meet their life goals and become their most authentic self. My style is collaborative and I customize the therapy to the client’s unique needs.

My ideal client is an individual who is open to working as a team and benefiting from a therapeutic relationship in which honesty, accountability, and empathy are paramount. While a client’s concerns are unique and personal, there is nothing they cannot overcome through effective therapeutic interventions and a highly-trained and relatable clinician.

Each of us have unique stories which include brokenness, anger, and anguish. These stories can cause so many to feel isolated, unheard, and utterly broken. During the counseling process, my goal is to help you find hope, while creating life long change. I want you to feel safe, heard, and begin healing. The story is never about finding the perfect ending, instead it's about creating a new story with resilience, passion, and hope. It is my passion to walk along side my clients to bring healing by focusing on your needs, as the client. My goal is to only be a guide in your process of healing by using a holistic approach.

It is my hope that you will leave each session having learned something about yourself and with a game plan to work on outside of our therapy sessions.

I know personally how the demands of life can be overwhelming - mentally, physically, and spiritually. Despite my own emotionally-devasting life experiences, I have overcome. I can now use those experiences to connect with, engage, and counsel others to overcome. Through it all I have a passion for “helping hurting people heal.” I have experience with counseling couples and individuals with depression and anxiety, panic attacks and panic disorder, anger management, trauma and PTSD. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

Life changes are difficult. We all go through things in life that are overwhelming. Some people seeking help are struggling with the loss of a loved one. At the same time, others are dealing with changes in family dynamics and family stressors. My goal is to help address these emotions and experiences. I work with a variety of mental health and emotional issues, including anxiety, anger, depression, relationship transitions, separation/divorce, new marriage, new parents/ step-parents, loss of family member or friend, family of military and active-duty members, and deployment transitions.

Cherita Griffin (pronouns: she/her) is a licensed professional counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. Her specialty interests include: anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, single parenthood, poverty, addiction, trauma, abuse, and neglect. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.
