He is also accredited as a Certified Addiction Specialist, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Certified Anger Management Specialist.
Psychotherapy is about transition, you are not necessarily bound by your patterns. It's also about simultaneously addressing symptoms and developing effective and lasting means of combating them. Life stressors, especially during difficult times, challenge us to approach these stressors in more effective ways. We must ask to reconsider ourselves, our behaviors, our responses, and our ability to engage with others.. The practice of psychotherapy is a creative, forward moving, and lasting transition to enhance all areas of one’s life.

I work with clients who suffer from range of emotional problems, including difficulties with anger management, depression, anxiety, interpersonal, and family issues. I work with couples, families, children, and adult individuals. I use individual, group, and family therapy as treatment modalities. I view psychotherapy as a process whereby a client is assisted to explore, understand, and constructs his/her past experiences in more realistic and positive ways to help strengthen one's self-esteem. This process is achieved by creating a working environment of trust, acceptance and non judgment that fosters self-acceptance and emotional growth.

Common issues I have worked with include anxiety, self-limiting beliefs, depression, relationship issues, low self-esteem, anger, grief, life transitions, shame, and finding meaning.
Are you struggling with anxiety, self-defeating behaviors, shame, depression, or holding onto painful feelings and memories? Do you feel you don't truly understand yourself, your friends, your spouse, or your partner? Together, you and I can explore and help you recognize your true, deep-rooted feelings and help you resolve them. By looking into our beliefs, emotions, early-life experiences, and thoughts, we can recognize recurring patterns and develop proper coping mechanisms to avoid our distress and move forward.

My clinical experience as a therapist has allowed me to treat individuals with anxiety and depressive-related symptoms, anger management, difficulty with guilt/shame, sexual orientation, and low self-esteem.
Don't you hate it when you feel overwhelmingly sad or helpless? Do you feel like you're losing control and your friends and family have run out of advice to give you? Perhaps, those around you don't get who you are. Maybe, you need someone to talk to. Well, guess what? I'm here to help you build a mindset that is clear, rational, and free of mental blocks. It's not about being perfect; it's about feeling better about living your best life. My objective is to help you become your own therapist.

I specialize in many areas including depression, anxiety, anger management, personality/mood disorders, phobias, food disorders, addiction, abuse, couples/families and every day life issues.
I address problems with a focus on results, not intentions. Resolve that if what you're doing isn't working, you'll be willing to change it. Do you want to live purposefully, or will you continue complaining about what you don't have? While I work with past issues, I'll help you live in the now in a purposeful and rewarding present onto a satisfying future. Resolve that you'll no longer allow your choices to cause you pain and fear rather than peace and joy. If you can say "I'm sick of this. I am ready" then give me a call.

I understand that seeking “counseling” or “therapy” can be very broad and mean different things. It can be intimidating at first if you haven’t had any prior experience or surprising to experience different therapeutic approaches if you have previously experienced counseling. I want to tell you that I’m here to provide assistance for the needs that you have currently in your life. I see counseling as a dual relationship where you get to be on the driver’s seat and choose where to go on this journey. I seat next to you pointing out details, providing useful information or simply supporting you as you reach towards your destination.

Life is made of infinite variables. It is how we respond to these variables that is important so that we can focus on our well-being, goals, and intimate relationships. This includes having some awareness and understanding of our unique personal values. Acting outside of our values usually leads to additional distress. I'm certified in dialectical behavioral therapy and work with several approaches that can help deepen your understanding about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Anger Management Therapists

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
