I specialize in teaching skills to overcome relationship issues, anxiety, anger management, and depression, with a keen focus on PTSD, trauma, and navigating the effects of gaslighting.

I am an integrative, and indeed, eclectic therapist, using whatever therapies I feel will help a client to overcome their problems. I am greatly informed by Gestalt Therapy, looking very much at the connection the client has with the "here and now" and with themselves. Using the relationship between myself and the client, we can explore connections and relationships, to challenge anxieties and beliefs, to find some resolution, to answer questions, and in fact, sometimes find out what those questions are.

My first professional license was in Addiction Counseling from Triton College in Chicago, IL. A decade later I attended the University of Nevada, Reno, for my MFT license and earned an Educational Specialist degree in Counseling & Educational Psychology. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in various levels of treatment including, Inpatient, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient settings. My specialty is working with co-occurring disorders of mental health and addiction.

With 12 years of experience working with clients going through individual, relationship, and family issues, Celebrity Therapist Dr. Jeff Rocker has provided therapeutic services to clients nationwide. He is Licensed in 14 states and has served clients from all age groups. Over the years, Dr. Jeff has organized lectures and various events in the community, including excursions and retreats for couples to improve their communication and better understand each other. He has experience working with athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. In addition, Dr. Jeff has also worked with clients in the Movie, Music, and Entertainment Industries.

Steven Believes that the key to a successful therapeutic experience begins with an environment where one feels safe and accepted. He strives to create this through understanding each client’s unique experience and goals with consistent attention to non-judgment. Steven works from a solution focused philosophy and incorporates Cognitive behavioral strategies while maintaining a focus on emotional awareness. As a military spouse and mother of five, I'm very aware of the sacrifices military members, veterans and their families make. Many of these same experiences are shared by first responders and other individuals who experience cumulative and ongoing trauma as a result of their line of work. I specialize in providing services to military and first responders. I find myself working best in the space between brutal honesty and authentic compassion. I am passionate about what I do and believe that my passion and experience are what allow me to effectively help, helpers.

Coming to terms with the possibility that we may need support of any kind can be difficult, and once you’ve identified that need, finding a therapist to best suit your needs may prove to be even more difficult. It is paramount to our practice that client-centered treatment begins with your peace of mind, clarity, and feeling a strong presence of therapeutic support. We have clinicians on staff Monday - Sunday and on evenings and weekends via telehealth.
