I was once asked if I became a social worker because I wanted to save the world. I jokingly replied, "Yes, one person at a time!". While there is no truth to that, a journey towards a better quality of life can begin with someone who challenges you while remaining in tune to your preferences.
Although I enjoy working with individuals from all types of backgrounds, I specialize in PTSD (trauma, history of abuse and/or violence, inter-generational trauma), ADHD, and mood disorders (anxiety, depression) using a person-centered, culturally grounded approach. I also work with issues of racial identity or acculturation, as well.
