Waitlist for new clients
Please note that I currently have a waitlist. I work with adults and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who have challenges with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also work with people who have experienced tough stuff in their childhood, or who are struggling with grief, relationship issues, or difficulties managing their emotions. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, and living life at a frenzied pace. Instead, our sessions can empower you to make big changes, encourage you to see healing and transformation as possible, and help guide you through positive changes to where things feel manageable again.

Everybody has times when they encounter roadblocks that get in the way of living your best life. Oftentimes these roadblocks come in the form of overwhelming thoughts and feelings. When these roadblocks become too much to overcome on your own, therapy can provide the time and space you need to find the right path forward.

Hello, my name is Jen and I have a deep respect for all who seek support through counseling. It is my experience that no one lives their best life alone. Connection has the capacity to offer regulation and engender strength. In our work together I hope to create an environment that feels safe. I will strive to assist you in moving toward experiencing yourself as a trustworthy source of guidance. Many of us are wounded children walking around in adult bodies. When appropriate I place importance in discovering connections between early childhood trauma and life's current unease as as a means to heal these wounds.

Welcome and thank you for reading further. Since even prior to the Pandemic, it seems life has become much more stressful for children, adolescents and adults but mental health awareness has improved. If you or your child are struggling with anxiety/social anxiety, AD(H)D, OCD, depression, significant loss/bereavement, have experienced trauma, feeling pressure to be perfect, feeling disconnected in your relationships, or in general feeling you've lost perspective of where you want to or are supposed to be at this point in your life, I would like to be of assistance. I have been successfully treating all of these conditions and more.

As an Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, I was not cognizant of the impact of mental illness on family and society, until I decided to pursue a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Degree. I believe that societal stigmatization of mental illness, and the shame felt by families who have a loved one with mental illness, makes it difficult for these patients to recover, and live peacefully for the rest of their lives. Psychiatric illness should be treated like a medical illness with no stigma, no blame or shame.

It takes courage to ask for help. When we meet, I will listen and try to understand as much as I can about you and your experience with curiosity, compassion and, when appropriate, a sense of humor. Our therapy session will include letting go of beliefs and energy that don’t serve you and nurturing the parts of you that need attention.

Life, at times, seems confusing and difficult. We find ourselves plagued by the past, anxious about the future, or overwhelmed by the stresses of today. Sometimes we feel all of these at once. Seeking help can be a hard thing to do, but seeking help is a courageous first step in making life better. Having worked in the health care and corporate sectors, and having served in the military, I understand some of the challenges you may be facing.

We will remain stuck in the same old patterns of anxiety, depression, fear, anger.
Daytime Availability Only. In Office Monday Only. My name is Erica Bradley. I am a LICSW in the state of Massachusetts. I have been a social worker for about 6 years and have worked in some form of human services for 15 years. After getting a bachelor's degree in public health and going to work in a group home for developmentally disabled adults I realized the need for more social workers. During graduate school I interned in a hospice, which was both incredibly challenging and rewarding. I then interned in an primary care office providing therapy. Following graduation with my MSW I went to work in the male, State-Prison System.

*NEW CLIENTS ACCEPTED via TELEHEALTH* Ever feel like you have a way to do something, and though it does not work the way it seems like it should, you feel it “works for you?” Do you find that you have a way of behaving and struggle to break free from yourself? I find that humans act in patterns. We think about a problem and act in a way that is the most comfortable to us and tend to repeat these patterns regardless of the result. I work with people living with depression, anxiety, trauma, anger concerns, separation/loss/grief issues, and people coping with discrimination.

Although my primary clinical focus is in the treatment of eating disorders with a sub-specialty in trauma treatment; I also work with many other co-morbid symptoms and diagnoses such as depression/anxiety, negative body image, grief/loss, anger management, and chronic pain or illness.
It takes courage and self awareness to seek support for your stress, and I'm continually honored by the individuals I serve in my practice for their willingness to open up to me. I strive to create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment that can enhance the process of therapeutic change. All people find themselves "stuck" at times, and through empathy and validation I work to create a path towards hope and healing for my clients.

Life challenges us in many ways, and sometimes we find ourselves struggling. We may lack energy, motivation, or direction, and find ourselves not enjoying life very much at all. Stressful events, over-thinking, and an unbalanced lifestyle can knock us out of our “window of tolerance” and decrease our resilience. If we don't take the time to slow down and attend to our bodies as well as our thoughts and emotions, life can become a rush of activity without meaning and can lead to anxiety, depression, and disconnection. Therapy is a powerful way to take that time for yourself.

Anger Management Therapists

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
