I believe whole-heartedly in each person's capacity to heal, and I work collaboratively with my clients. My work connects people with their strengths, their creativity and with their internal healing systems so that they can make the kinds of changes they want to make. My clients utilize the insights they discover and the tools they learn in our sessions to create more peace and joy in their lives.
As a psychotherapist and energy worker (reiki), I blend both traditional and alternative elements into my work. My work draws from psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, internal family systems, and energy work. I teach meditation at Harvard Business School and find mindfulness to be a powerful tool with clients.
I am also a musician and work well with artists. Additionally, I have lived abroad and understand the uniqueness of cross-cultural living and relationships. Finally, I am the co-founder of Tunefoolery Music, Inc., a non-profit organization established in 1994 for musicians in mental health recovery (www.tunefoolery.org).
