If you have been struggling with emotional difficulties, or if your family has had difficulties adjusting, I have over 20 years of experience helping adults, children, teens, and families who struggle with a variety of emotional and relational problems. In therapy I integrate CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and expressive activities with a client-centered nature infused interpersonal approach. I give regular homework and coach clients to practice skills learned and encourage family involvement to accelerate their therapeutic progress. I assess each individual's biopsychosocialspiritual needs and develop goals addressing their entire being.
I work with individuals, families, and couples. In therapy I integrate talk and expressive modalities with mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal techniques. I also incorporate each clients' strengths and beliefs. I have hosted a Monday Mindfulness and CBT for anxiety and depression group as well, currently on hold.
I work with a variety of ethnic, spiritual, and sexual-orientation backgrounds. I am now practicing part-time from my residence, a log cabin on 15 acres. I find nature helps clear the mind, and incorporate the outdoors into my counseling. I am a mother of 3 children, chickens, a dog, and 2 geckos. Because my practice is my home, appointment times are limited
