The idea for New Creation Counseling started years ago as I embarked on my life reclamation. Through my journey a wholehearted desire grew to help those who are hurting and I wanted to provide them with a safe place to heal. What have you been running from and what have you been using to avoid coping with your reality? Experience working with individuals and families and providing services at a hospital outpatient program, inpatient residential program, within the home, community, school and crisis intervention. As well I provided Clinical Care Coordination, Trainings, and Supervision. I have experience in helping client improve their symptoms of depression, anger, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, & helping parents learn how to motivate children to follow directions. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have more than 10 years of clinical practice. I am trained in treating adults, children, adolescents and families. I also have extensive training in addiction and dually diagnosed clients. My training is in areas of CBT, Motivational Interviewing, IFS and certified in Anger Management. I have practiced within outpatient and inpatient settings for the past 13 years. I am currently working on becoming a supervisor for LMFT's. I take a trauma informed, compassionate approach while addressing the issues and dynamics head on. I work extremely well with families, adults, kids, adolescents and couples.

I am trained to work with adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, career and vocational issues, substance abuse, family/marital concerns, Alzheimer's disease, bereavement, anger, and other mood disorders. I utilize various treatment modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy. I provide a holistic approach believing you are the expert on what can work for you and will work just as hard as you to help you achieve your goals.

My goal as a therapist is to encourage clients to attain their greatest potential, to help them transform their lives to being filled with increased ease and balance, and to empower them to recognize their internal competencies that they may access as coping skills for handling the complexities of daily challenges.
