Hello there. My name is Randa Adams and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for fifteen years. When I began providing therapy, I worked with children and families who had been victims of sexual abuse, rape, and/or domestic violence. I then spent several years working exclusively with adults with schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and bi-polar disorder. I have been a consultant for the United States Air Force working with the military community and their families and have collaborated with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) providing crisis counseling for people affected by natural disasters.

We are a group of court approved substance abuse intervention specialists with over 23 years of experience working with addiction. We have extensive experience in facilitating alcohol and drug evaluations, anger management evaluations, ASAM Level I treatment classes, Anger Management, Shoplifting and Theft Prevention, FVIP in addition to MRT and Parenting classes.

I specializes in treating individuals and families impacted by trauma, shame, depression, anxiety, anger, and low self-esteem.

Sylvia L. Franklin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience helping adults and seniors to better manage their anxiety, depression, anger, relationships, self-esteem, substance use, and stress levels. She can also help families, individuals, and couples to improve their communication, parenting skills, and coping skills, as well as to minimize family conflict. Sylvia received her Master's in Community Counseling from Clark Atlanta University. She believes that laughter is chicken soup for the soul and that we all have a purpose in this life.

Whether you're living with depression, anger, problems with motivation or difficulties handling mood swings, I have experience and ideas and a non-judgmental approach to your situation. I'm a straightforward person so I may challenge you if I think that will help you. I can also help you think from a different perspective which in turn can lead to you experiencing different emotions. I have a good critical ear and I can ask you the questions you need to hear in order to feel comfortable with the decisions you want to make. At this time I am not able to see high school or middle school teenagers.

My ideal client is one who is motivated to be honest with themself (and me) and be willing to make life changes. They would be willing to take a look at how their thinking is affecting their moods and be open to guidance as to how to FEEL better.
