The Creative Arts Therapy Center of Denver (CATCOD) is a safe, inclusive and accepting space for people of all ages where we promote healing and support through psychotherapy. We offer individual, family and group evidence-based services provided by Licensed Professional Counselors. While we are skilled in traditional methods of verbal therapy and assessment, we are also expertly trained to incorporate artistic modalities when appropriate. Creative arts therapy is not dependent on the outcome of the art and there is no art experience necessary. Rather, art-making contributes to healing, holding and growing into our best selves.

I am currently a pre licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate and a Registered Psychotherapist with diverse experience in court mandated and outpatient psychotherapy, substance abuse, and treating girls and women survivors/victims of human trafficking, sexual and domestic abuse. I have additional training and certifications in addictions counseling and specialize in working with female youth and young adult women in the treatment of behavioral issues, trauma, grief, domestic, and substance abuse using systems base approaches, group therapy, and expressive arts.

Transpersonal means “trans” transcend beyond the person “personal”. This style of therapy uses different modalities to work beyond the ego-self. It consists of working with 3 layers; the mind, body, and soul. This might look like EMDR, hypnosis, yoga, meditation, dreamwork, astrology, CBT, and other techniques to explore all levels of our experience. I am a trauma therapist and specialize in transpersonal practices such as EMDR, Hypnosis, Womb Awakening, Sexual Trauma, Inner Child Healing, and much more. While I have training in many modalities of therapy, I believe connecting back to true authenticity is so important.

As a seasoned psychotherapist/life coach, I believe in our innate healing potential and guide my clients to unlock their internal wisdom, resilience and resources for healing. Somatic (body-centered), mindfulness-based approaches to holistic coaching and therapy, allow me to integrate my clinical training while tuning into intuition to effectively guide the unfolding healing process of my clients. Hello! I am a somatic (i.e. body-oriented) therapist who is fiercely committed to supporting people who have inherited or experienced trauma to find liberation, release, and joyous thriving. I specialize in helping people process the effects of grief and bereavement as well as the painful tensions that can arise between religion and sexuality. My focus is to support you to cultivate awareness of what is stored in your body and find ways to express and it and release what needs releasing. Our work together will allow you to live with greater dignity, ease and joy.
