Welcome. I work with adults and teens looking for Christ-centered professional therapy. Being Christian doesn't make us immune to suffering and you're not alone in your struggles. We live in a fallen world. Family issues, trauma, suffering, depression, anxiety and extreme anger are very real challenges that any of us can face from time to time. I work with people who are tired of the way things have been going in their life, and are wanting to see change as quickly as possible.

Anger. Guilt. Resentment. These are the common themes we all struggle with, today. Sadness is all too real when we hurt, and when we do not cope well, or do not know how to cope with our anger, guilt, and/or resentment, we can become depressed. What you will see, is a vicious cycle; a depressed person then becomes angry, and resentful, and can start to feel guilt. We are all able and capable of making better decisions for ourselves and for our loved ones. There is no shame in asking for help...only regret in never trying. I can help you.

I understand how difficult sharing life altering memories can be for people. Just ignoring unresolved issues will not make the pain any less. Addressing old hurt, anger, fears, and other emotions will assist in gaining a better sense of self. My goal is to help people with the thoughts that keep them up at night. We can’t change the past, but we can change how we process old grief and allow past trauma to impact our lives.

I have the experience and competence to help individuals and families cope with relationship problems, feelings related to depression , challenges from social anxiety and trauma, coping with anger , grief and loss, and life transitions.
Are you feeling defeated, overwhelmed, hopeless or simply “not yourself” anymore? My name is Anastasia and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I believe that therapy should be a safe space for you to ventilate without judgment. In therapy you should be challenged in your own skills and strengths so that you can return to the person you once were before mental health challenges were present.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with each of my clients and take part in their journey for recovery. I know that life’s valuables can sometimes be dropped when we are in survival mode. Sometimes life unfolds in some of the most confusing ways and we are forced to push our way through. I would consider it an honor to join you in your process of recovering the pieces of your life that were lost or misplaced during the shuffle. I have a passion for working with individuals who have challenges in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, anger, and communication.

I hold a genuine passion for helping teenagers and adults who are struggling with depression, grief, anxiety, trauma symptoms, anger management, as well as those who are experiencing difficulties adjusting to significant life changes.
Hello, i'm Randy. Despite being a therapist, I believe that no matter how many years of work experience a therapist has, and no matter how many credentials/degrees one has, all of that goes out the window if they don't have the ability to click and level with their clients. Initiating therapy services may feel like a leap of faith; as one would have to initiate a process in which they will be meeting with a therapist who is a complete stranger to them in the beginning. So congratulations on taking the first step for seeking treatment!

Areas of expertise include: Crisis Management, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Gottman Communication Skills, CBT therapy to reduce anger and address addictive behaviors, Love & Logic Parenting, ADHD testing, and extensive experience working with loss/trauma.
You're hurt and angry and thinking, 'Why do we argue about the same things over and over again I am so tired of fighting! What happened to the way we used to be?' I know you're frustrated. Couples tell me how lonely they feel. You and your partner can be happy again, you can learn to turn towards eachother, reconnect emotionally, and create a more caring and fulfilling relationship. For more than 20 years I've worked with couples and families helping them find a better way to live and love and work together.

Others have bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, anger issues, distress from marital or family discord.
I enjoy working with all types of teens, adults, couples and seniors. To me everyone is unique, interesting and capable even when they feel like their life is at its worst or they are in their darkest times. I believe clients are doing the best they can so counseling should be educational, empowering and at times even fun to achieve their goals. I primarily do cognitive behavioral and supportive therapy, but from my years of practice and training i can draw on a combination of healing approaches to change unwanted circumstances, feelings, thoughts and behaviors as soon and permanently as possible.

Anger Management Therapists

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
