I offer home-based life coaching for teens, 20-somethings, athletes, adults, and their families in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and beyond. I work with clients at home in a positive, flexible, proactive way, emphasizing measurable, practical, and sustainable change. My approach is relaxed, non-hierarchical, and results-oriented. Although I also work with adults, I primarily help teens and 20-somethings, from kids who lack confidence and/are overly stressed or anxious to those with athletic/academic performance issues or who are really acting out, having issues with anger, substance abuse, school refusal and the like.

My specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, personality disorders, PTSD, feeling "stuck," relationship issues, life transitions and self-esteem.
I believe it takes strength and courage to seek therapy. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space in which you can explore attitudes and beliefs/patterns which get in the way of accomplishing your full potential and fully engaging in life. I utilize techniques from positive psychology, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and dialectal behavioral therapy to connect my clients with their "true, inner selves," something which we most often lose touch with as we go about our lives in this often unpredictable and stressful world. I also believe in the power of humor and laughter as tools in the healing process.

Hi I’m Victoria! I’m so glad you’re here! I hope this is the first step in your personal growth journey. Mental Health is such an important part of our lives, and I feel it is the ultimate “self care” as it often leads to more insight, self awareness, and positive changes. The goal is to live with more intention and kindness towards others and most importantly ourselves. There are many reasons why someone may be interested in therapy - all of them are valid.

Sometimes life throws us something that turns our whole world upside down. Other times life is “fine,” but we just don’t feel fine. We may be overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, depression, or just feeling stuck. If you are wondering whether now is the right time for therapy, the answer is probably “yes.” You start to feel different when you do things differently. Whether you are a teen, young adult, or adult, I can offer you a non-judgmental, creative space with fresh ideas and hope for the future.

In therapy, the client and I enter into a collaboration to find new ways to problem-solve, reduce suffering, discover patterns and build new life paths. As part of this process, I help the client: to learn about patterns of thought and behavior, to learn to be with unpleasant experiences instead of avoiding them or grasping for something else, and to practice awareness, self-compassion and curiosity, habits of mind that help bring about positive change. I have a gentle, direct, and engaging approach that encourages and supports the client.

Glad you made it here…I would like to acknowledge that effort from the start. Are emotions driving your behaviors more often than you would like? Is the internal conversation you have with yourself becoming more hostile and critical? Are you finding time slip away onto a phone, bottle, or other mindlessness? Are you looking for ways to find calmness, self-compassion, and connection? I am hopeful I can help you to ease your suffering.

What is a life worth living for you? This is ultimately the question we will journey into. Our work might explore your ways of relating to the given "problem", reframe particular internalized narratives, educate you on neurobiological frameworks, and/or encourage you to draw upon your own unique heritage, hopes, and motivations toward your behavioral change and your preferred life. I hope to remind each person of the maxim of narrative therapy: "the problem is the problem; the person is not the problem" (White, 1998). So, what story would you like to write through your actions, values, and life?

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
