I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. and I'm licensed in Virginia and West Virginia. I have worked with children, adults, and elderly people for many years. The treatment modalities I use are DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed care. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based. I have a great deal of experience in working with improving communication skills, conflict resolution, anger management, and assisting in improving parent/child relationships. I also work with clients to help them cope with such issues as anxiety, depression, grief, life changes, and trauma.
I typically work with children, adolescents, and adults. like to work with clients in building their self-esteem, improving coping skills, and improving relationships with others. I also provide trauma-informed therapy to help clients who have a history of trauma in their lives.
My communication style is calm, caring, and supportive. I feel my role is to support not judge my clients. I am aware that each person is unique and has different needs. My goal is to make each person feel comfortable and validated.
