My name is Angelica Rubio and I am a licensed clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in New York and working with patients statewide via telehealth. I have been working in the field of Clinical Social Work since 2016. I have work with children, adolescents, and adults on a broad range of issues. I specialized in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationships, domestic violence, life stressors, acculturalization issues as well as immigration issues. I am bilingual in Spanish and English.
My approach works well with children, teens, and adults who may be dealing with life challenges that have triggered anxiety, depression, stress, and other disorders. I also helped patients to address any past traumas that have hindered their ability to function well.
I empower the patients to be able to achieve their full potential and sustain the achieve change through therapy. I utilize an integrative approach tailored to each unique client’s needs. My common approaches are cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and client-centered therapy.
