My name is Angelica Rivas. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I like to use a behavioral approach in therapy, focusing on both short-term and long-term goals to help those in need of change in their lives. I prefer to use either a humanistic or behavioral approach with an overall intent to help clients meet their goals. I have extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I have 7+ years working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, and adjustment disorders. I have treated clients between ages 5 and 95 years old. My goal is to provide the most comfortable environment for clients to heal and recover. I hope to build confidence and hope in the people that I work with.
I believe that goal setting is one of the most important components of therapy. My approach to goal setting with clients is unique to their needs.
